Chocolate Standard Poodle, Teddy
   
Looking for a standard poodle, I was blessed to have found www.htpoodles.com. I wanted an adolescent standard and it had to be a brown one. HT Poodles had the only adolescent brown standard one I could find anywhere!!! I talked with Linda at length as I was leery about buying a dog over the internet. I checked references and those that I spoke with could not say enough good things about Linda and her standards. Linda was very caring and considerate with each phone call I made to her. That helped me in my decision. Teddy was flown into Washington Dulles Airport. When we opened his crate, I was on my knees to meet and greet him. He immediately put his paws around my neck and hugged me. We did not move for about five minutes. I whispered to him that he was home and I was his new mommy. It felt like we knew each other but had not seen each other for a very long time. We were meant to be. He navigated through the airport like a champ. I have birds and was concerned about his reaction to them, but Linda told he he had been around her African Gray and, sure enough, upon arriving home, he took one look at my three birds and walked in the other direction. I could not have asked for a better dog.
He is smart, adjusted well, and has passed the AKC Good Citizen test. His vet thinks he is almost human because of his beautiful, intelligent, amber eyes. While we are on a walk, I am constantly stopped and asked about Teddy. I receive compliments everywhere we go about how gorgeous he is. Also, I have been asked if it was ok for passers by to take his picture. I always respond, "of course" as Teddy smiles for the camera. He is a gentle dog and very playful. He has never growled or shown aggression in any way, shape or form. Consider me one of those references that cannot say enough good things about Linda and her standards. One day, I intend to add another standard to our family, and it will be from HTPoodles!

Chocolate Standard Poodle, Nestle
 Dear Linda and Julie, September 2007 It was love at first sight when we saw a picture of Nestle on the Internet. We feel very lucky to have come across your website. My Mom had been searching for a Standard Poodle puppy for months. After reading about Happy Tails’ and finding out about your breeding and philosophy we felt comfortable purchasing a puppy via the Internet. We enjoyed the pictures of our growing Nestle and anticipated his arrival. We fell in love all over again when we met him in person. He came from Missouri to Southern Arizona in the van with Janet and her husband and we were told he was a very good traveler. To our delight he was just perfect. He was already adjusted to his crate and practically potty trained. He was very co-operative about potty training despite the desert summer heat.
Nestle was extremely healthy------we took him to the Veterinarian soon after his arrival for the tests you recommended and he was perfect. We were very impressed with how well behaved he was at the vets office. He also is a real gentleman when he is being groomed. Nestle is not only handsome and has wonderful features he is extremely sweet, loving, patient, understanding, and intelligent. He is such a good sport at trying anything new, and adjusts well in all situations. He has already passed puppy training and was the star of the class. He is growing quite well and is more stunning every day. He is still a good traveler and enjoys meeting people and although we do not have children he is very calm and polite when children pet him. He has developed into a good protector while maintaining a caring personality and sense of humor.
We can’t thank you enough for such a wonderful companion. We appreciate all your time and advice with all our follow-up questions.

Red Standard Poodle, Molly
 Linda, We thought you would like to see a picture of Molly with Oliver. They are inseparable! You would not believe how easily she fit into our household. She was never timid or apprehensive about anything! Molly just walked right in and knew she was home. Thank-you for raising such a wonderful well adjusted little girl!  Linda, We thought you would like to see what a lovely girl Molly is growing up to be. She is 9 months old now and becoming quite a young lady. She is very smart and as you can see very pretty but her personality is unbelievable! She is such a clown! When they came up with the word imp they used Molly as reference! She is wonderful! You can be in a bad mood or feeling down and all you have to do is look at her and you start to smile. She is the pure essence of innocent fun. She bounds through the house with such joy you can't help but be happy. I work at a boarding kennel and Molly goes to work with me. She is a wonderful receptionist and makes the new "clients" feel right at home. She has been through puppy class and basic obedience which she excelled in beautifully. Thank-you so much for allowing Molly to be a part of our lives, we love her dearly!

 Subject: Happiness is a poodle from Happy Tails
Hi Linda and Julie! Accolades to you and Julie for breeding such wonderful puppies! I can't believe it's only two weeks tomorrow since Jazzy (Jasmin) and I first met at Ontario Airport. In spite of what must have been a pretty scary experience for her, flying in from Tulsa, there was no hesitation from her in greeting me like a long lost friend and every day since has been full of love, laughter and marvelous companionship! She passed her checkup with the vet with flying colors - just a slight ear problem which is easily under treatment. She has had many firsts and adapts quickly to any situation she finds herself in. She has bonded already with my horse, Ritzi, and he took to her right away too. It seemed they both recognized they belonged to the same family now and it's a riot watching them play. She runs outside the arena while he runs and shows off to her on the inside - and boy, can she ever run fast! I took her for her first bath to Scrubby Puppy where you can primp and preen your pooch yourself and the owner gives help wherever needed. Needless to say she was very proud of herself afterwards and had made fast friends with everyone she met in there, human and canine alike. On Sunday we are going to our first group training class. She came from you already "house-broken" (and I thank you for that!) - from the first day she just asks when she wants to go out - what a blessing. She will Sit and sort of Stay and sometimes Come so far, but I think it will be more fun for her to continue with other puppies for a good basic education and we can decide afterwards in which direction we want to go further. As I sit here writing to you she is exhibiting the first "protective woofs" at a neighbor who she sees through the door.- very quietly but just letting me know someone is out there. Kind of nice to know my 5month old is ready to look after Mum! Well, I could go on and on, but I will spare you - I just wanted you to know what a great job you are doing with your breeding program - Nobody could ask for a dog with a better disposition. I'll update you again along the way and brag some more and will send you pictures when I get some. P.S. Feel free to use me as a reference anytime. P.P.S. Chocolate Standadrd Poodle, Guinness
 Hi Linda and Julie, We made it home on Saturday afternoon. We took our time driving home so it wasn’t too hard on Guinness. He did great! He let us know when he needed a potty break and just slept beside Tess for the majority of the trip! He whimpered a little in the hotel, but belly rubs and singing lullabies seemed to help. Dear Julie and Linda, Guinness is a very calm and playful poodle. He loves to play with his new toys, his ball with feet, his stuffed ferret and his puppy wubba. Also he likes to chew on everything. We have to keep him away from the mulch in the garden. He also likes to jump on Eva, but she is learning to handle him. He is the best puppy ever. Everyone thinks he is a girl, and they also think he is full-grown. We have to set them straight all the time! He has already learned how to unzip his soft-side crate! We just got his tags done. We got him a copper heart that has his name and phone number on it. We love Guinness. Eva and I love to play with him.

Phantom Standard Poodle, Sophie
 It is hard to believe we have only had our girl for six months. She is such an intricate part of our family now. I was admittedly skeptical to purchase something so personal through the inter-net. Through the conversations we had, my instinct told me I could trust your word. You did not disappoint me. Thank you for your perception. You filled the empty spot in our nest with the perfect, little girl, standard size poodle. She arrived healthy, beautiful, well adjusted and most intelligent!! All the qualities we specified and then some. My husband is a hunter and (now) a believer that poodles are not just "she dogs" but, "The man" dogs too! It was such fun doing business with you Linda. Hello Linda, We wanted to say hello and check in. Hope your 2008 is going well. The "boys" are doing great and they are the love of our family! Rocky is growing like a weed and is bigger than Prince now. He has such a playful and loving personality. They get along beautifully and seem attached to each other. Thanks again and best wishes!!
