We always think about our standard poodle puppies when they leave our home.  The best way to transport your puppy is of course based on where you live and your circumstances.  Our suggestions are below but we prefer to talk to the customer before arrangements are made to ensure we have helped you make the best choice for delivery of your new puppy.

We prefer to ship by air as it is only a matter of hours and your new standard poodle is safely home.  Shipping is also less stressful on your standard poodle puppy than a several hour road trip; and when it arrives, mom & dad are there waiting to come to its rescue.  It is a safe, comfortable, and fast journey for your puppy.  We have flown puppies all over the USA and Canada and have never had a puppy injured or lost.  The cost varies according to size of pup and where the pup is going but is usually between $250-$300.  With gas prices the way they are, shipping is also many times a cheaper way to transport your new standard poodle.  Happy Tails Standard Poodles provides the crate and the health certificate. 

During warmer months unless personal pick up is an option for you, land transport is the only option to some of the Southern States as airlines have pet embargos when temperatures are warmer.  We are usually able to fly standard poodle puppies to the Northern part of the country even during the summer, but states like Arizona, Texas, Florida and other states can pose a problem due to extreme heat.

Another option is asking the airline of your choice if they allow in cabin transport with you and the guidelines as far as size of pup and soft shell crate the airline allows. This option is the most expensive of all shipping options but people have chosen this in the past.  Regardless of the time of year we will work closely with you in arranging the best possible transportation for your standard poodle.

Transport by ground is sometimes available but is more expensive and the shipping process can actually be a few days since the people who provide these ground transport services have preset routes that they follow picking up and delivering pets along the way across the country.
