Chocolate Standard PoodleChocolate Standard PoodleChocolate Standard PoodleHello Ladies,

I just wanted to let you know how James was doing on his second birthday.  We had his yearly visit at the vets last Saturday.  Weighing in at 69.8 lbs, fit, trim and health.  James has become a great dog.  He is social with all ages, of people, from the very little to the very old.  He is also very social when it comes to other dogs.  Very easy going, knows when he can be alpha and when he can not.  Everyone loves to meet him and stroke his puffy head of hair.  They love how soft it feels!!  Everyone my age gets the name when we tell them, that his name is James Brown.  Everyone comments on his easy going nature, willingly to please, and smart!  James has mastered his commands for sit, down, stay, come, leave it, play dead (from a down position), quite, and give it or (drop it).  He has even memorized all of the families houses as far as who has treats and how he can receive one when visiting family.  He is so funny too!  He knows how to tease my husband in the morning to weasel his way into going out with him all day.  (My husband has a landscaping business).  He simply waits by the door and will not let him out until my husband hooks the leash on him and then he bounces out the door with a smile on his face.  My youngest and myself have made an appointment with the local hospital to have James interview for a pet therapy position at the hospital.  All the attributes I have mention in the above letter is what they are looking for in a dog to have for this position.  I know for a fact James will pass this test and then will have a 12 week training course to hurdle to become the first standard poodle at this hospital for this position.  We can hardly wait.  I just want to let you ladies know that you have given us a rare gift in James.  We can not thank you enough for bringing him into this world for us to share his life with us.  We love him dearly!!!  Please enjoy the pictures that I am sending your way.  Yours truly Cathy from Chicago

Chocolate Standard PoodleChocolate Standard PoodleGood Afternoon Happy Tails, I thought you might like to see James at 10 months of age. He is stunning! We have had so many compliments on his looks, I just wanted to share him with you too. James is such a happy go lucky guy. So sweet, gentle, loving and has a sense of humor too. James is now very comfortable with himself and has figured us all out. (Who is the pushover, to who is in charge). James has a way of letting you know he wants your attention by gentle putting his front paw on your arm or sitting down next to you and leaning into you that he wants your attention. At 10 months of age we no longer cage him during the day when we are at work and the girls are at school. (No chewing or accidents) James has his spot near the front window and he watches for our return. We also have three cats that have come to terms with James. He loves them to death by licking them when they are sleeping. It is a funny thing to see. James is also becoming a great watch dog. He notices just about everything outside and barks to let us know that something is up. We are so happy and in love with James. His nickname has become James Brown in the neighborhood. All of the children that see him want to hug and kiss him on our walks. When he is around little children smaller then him he immediately sits down or lays down for them to pet his head. All the while watching for my response. Thank you ladies for such a wonderful puppy and soon to be a one year old.
Cathy from Chicago

Subject: Maddie is a big part of OUR lives!

Chocolate & White Parti Standard PoodleChocolate & White Parti Standard PoodleLinda & Julie, As you can see, MADDIE is growing like a weed. She is a wonderful baby and, this I think is a kudos to you both and your style of family raising, I have yet to loose any footwear and or furniture. See is true to form with what you said about attempting to control Kosmo the 10yr old Bishon. She has swam in the neighbors pool, love to ride in the car and is developing her social etiquette with all the neighborhood friends and dogs! EVERYONE LOVES HER COLORS AND PERSONALITY! WOW! DID I GET LUCKY!!! If all goes well, I may do this again in a year or two for MADDIE to have a companion. Only time will tell. Please post Maddies pictures on your web page and count me as a VERY HAPPY costumer AND NEVER FORGET TOO; "HAVE A GREAT DAY, BECAUSE A SMILE IS CONTAGIOUS"!

Chocolate Standard Pood.e, BaxterDear Linda,

Here's Baxter at 9 months! I can't tell you how very happy he makes us. He's such a sweet, kind, funny, intuitive, smart and obedient dog. In fact, he's figured out how to let himself out the screen door to the back yard! He is my constant buddy - following me where ever I go. My heart is so full! I had no idea what joy my dear canine friend would bring.

We get compliments about how gorgeous he is ALL the time. In fact, my vet has offered to take him any time! He has a girlfriend who is a rescue dog of my very good friend. Oh, how they love on each other! I feel blessed to have found you and really appreciate how easy you made everything... most of all for breeding the most perfect addition to our family!

Lilly (Chocolate & White Parti Standard Poodle)

Chocolate & White Parti Standard PoodleChocolate & White Parti Standard PoodleHi Linda and Julie!

We are all in love! We have named our puppy "Lilly". She is usually calm, gives lots of kisses and loves to snuggle with the kids. When people see her, they are amazed at how calm she is and that she is a poodle "oh, I have never seen one with that colouring".

The house training has gone pretty well, only a couple of accidents and of course, they have been on the only good rug (an oriental) in our house. She has good taste.  :)  She pretty much sleeps through the night in her crate and during the day either in her crate or on a large dog bed. She feels she is in heaven.

We took her to the vet and they gave her another shot. We will be getting her rabies shot the last week in July, and I think one other.

She has switched over to her new food well - there were a couple of days it seemed like she didn't eat much, but she is back in business now. We put the food out in the morning and by night, it is pretty well gone.

On top of being new to our home, our home is under a lot of construction. It started just before we picked her up. The workers say hello every morning and after Lilly hears their voices, her tail starts wagging. Our front yard was completely torn up and now they are working on the side and back. Still, Lilly knows her spot and when we say 'outside' she knows where to go. Because of this messiness, we have given her a bath twice (once last week and once this week) she does really well and then sleeps really well following.

I am sure Lilly misses all of you, but we absolutely love her and are so glad you were willing to share her with us!

Take care and I will write again soon.

Kristine, John, Madeleine and Luc DeGrace
and Lilly too!
