Tuxedo Standard Poodle, Van GoughTuxedo Standard Poodle, Van GoughTuxedo Standard Poodle, Van GoughOur Harley (Van Gough), he makes us laugh, gives us exercise, and supplies lots of sloppy kisses; now if he could only cook and clean house, he would be absolutely the most perfect companion one could ever have!!"  Needless to say, this dog has brought great delight to us...as a retired couple, we dote on him like a grandchild...have a great day!  I'll send more pictures later...Barbara

****** Update May, 2008 ******

Red Standard Poodle, PhydeauxHi Linda, Our baby boy is growing up - he gets more fun and more beautiful every day! I took him camping last week, along with our 16-year-old son and two of his friends. Phydeaux had more fun than everybody else combined .... I've attached a couple of photos of our hike to Cedar Falls in Petit Jean State Park and him sneaking a peek at the good smells from the picnic table. We've completed Puppy Kindergarten and Beginning Obedience, and tomorrow is our last day of Intro to Agility class. He's doing extraordinarily well - no hesitation at all with the equipment and he's very attentive to commands. The only thing we really have to work work work on is recalls. He comes racing to me when I call him, but once he's there and claims his treat, he takes off to see what other interesting things are around, then zooms back in hopes of another great treat. It's hilarious and frustrating at the same time. Our instructor (she also has a standard) told me to just be patient - her Teddy did the same thing for two years. She - and two others who have competed in agility - have been very encouraging in our continuing training. It's great fun for both Phydeaux and myself. Thank you for the care and devotion you have for your dogs that is reflected in the loving, sunny personality of our Phydeaux. Hugs from Cindy, Richard and Phydeaux Little Rock, Arkansas

Red Standard Poodle, PhydeauxHi Linda- Here is a picture of Phydeaux who is nearly 4 months old. He is a smart, quick learner with a great personality. Cindy is working hard with him and has been able to stay at home with him most days. On the days when she has had to be gone more than a few hours, he has been at "day care" where he has made lots of friends. On the weekends I have been taking him to our municipal dog park where he plays well with others. Cindy has been taking him to doggie school and he has learned sit, lie down, go to your house (kennel), go outside and several other useful commands. He is working on walking nicely on the left and sitting when you stop.
Phydeaux is a great dog and we are very lucky to have him in our loving home.
Thanks for your encouragement. We'll keep in touch.
Regards, Richard

Phantom Standard PoodleHi Linda,
I apologize for not writing sooner, but we have been enjoying puppyhood to its fullest!  We can't believe it has been almost 2 months since we picked him up from the airport.  I am sending off some quick photos before Luc gets too big to be a puppy anymore.  He weighs about 22 pounds now, and has shot up about 3 inches.   Of course he will graduate number one in Puppy Kindergarten in two weeks, and we could not be more proud; he is soooo smart.  We registered him officially as, Kristine's Phantom Monsieur Luc, but we sometimes just call him "Doodle", as I am sure you can guess why:)   I promise to send better photos so you can see just what a handsome little guy he is. We just love him to pieces. Thank you for sending us an amazing dog, he is more than I could have ever hoped for.
Warmest regards, Shelley

Red Standard Poodle, RemyHi Linda, you are welcome to post these pictures. She is such a blessing, even when I'm having a hard day with a lot of physical pain, I can't help but laugh at her, she has such a sweet disposition. I call her my "little piggy" because she loves to root around in the dirt and she is always making these little snorting noises. After she eats in the morning she buries her nose in my neck and gives me little snorting love nibbles and kisses for a long time as a thank you! The vet and all who see her just marvel at her beauty and color. I've had people ask me if I dye her that color! She knows treat, vitamin, sit, bed, aaachoo (that is a sneeze), and speak, all since 4 months. It is a riot to watch because she forgets what makes what noise and she will make all these funny noises until she does a sneeze or bark! I also call her the "tick" because she spends a lot of time attached to Emma's shoulder or hip by chomping on. Emma heavy coat is protection from her baby teeth and Emma just goes about her business with Remy attached! It is the funniest thing! Emma is so patient with her and very protective of her. I am so grateful for such a gorgeous girl with such wonderful personality qualities. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Whatever you ladies are doing is working! Keep up the good work! I will send more pictures as she grows, Barb

Silver Standard PoodleLinda, Seth will be 8 months old by the end of the month. He is a beautiful pup, and full of life. Both boys went to the groomer yesterday and Seth already seems to be an old pro at it. The groomer kept telling us how beautiful Seth is and how good he is on the grooming table, even better than his older more experienced brother! He is a great addition to our family and you were right in helping us make the decision to bring Seth into our home so soon after losing Bentley. He sure helped ease the pain. I remember you telling me how his mom, Amy smiles at you. Seth smiles as well. Every morning, Seth cuddles in the bed with us and gives us a big smile showing almost all his teeth. I'm so glad we were able to get a pup from Amy's last litter. He has his father's beautiful face (Ranger) as you can see in the picture. Thank you again for such a beautiful, well adjusted pup.
